How the symposium will work

Panel Session

During the Panel Session, there will be a screen displaying a recording of the event. Recorders will be appointed who will provide a summary of the discussion.

Delegates will be invited to contribute to this recording. No synchronous conferencing will be available during this session.

Discussion Groups

In each of the two Discussion rooms, the seating will such as to allow two screens to be visible.

Following lunch, delegates will take part in their second choice discussion.

Discussion Board

In addition to the synchronous conferencing and Recording facilities, there will be a Discussion board to which delegates and online participants will be able to contribute.

The discussion will be able to be viewed privately by delegates but there will be no open screening of the board.

The Discussion board will continue to be available for some time following the Symposium.

Plenary Session

All of the above will be captured and archived and will form the content of the subsequent publication.

Publication

During the closing Plenary Session there will be two screens, one displaying a Recording of the discussions and the other displaying the synchronous conferencing.

Both delegates and online participants will be able to contribute to this.

Technical Information

Since it is intended that delegates will contribute both verbally and online to the discussions and recording, we encourage delegates to bring laptops and/or handheld devices with them to the Symposium, though there is no requirement to do so.

The Roostein Hopkins Space where the Symposium will be held has a wireless network which will be available to delegates. The symposium will be webcast.
