Biography:
Vince Dziekan is Senior Lecturer in Digital Imaging, and Deputy Head (Academic) of the Department of Multimedia & Digital Arts, at Monash University in Melbourne and Convenor of Monash/Art & Design Research Network.
Vince’s current research focuses on curatorial design forms as part of an ongoing interdisciplinary project negotiating the impact of digital technologies on curatorial practices and the implications of the virtual on the art of exhibition. He has exhibited widely in Australia and curated exhibitions such as Archival Permanence: Time and Timelessness in 100 Years of Australian Photography, The Synthetic Image: Digital Technologies and the Image, Small Worlds: A Romance and Remote.
Additionally, Vince is associated with current Australian Research Commission projects with the SC::PE Photomedia Research Cluster at Monash University and involved in research activities with The Omnium Project (UNSW), including co-convening the Omnium Research Network.
